Hi - I’m Lisa. I’m in my mid 30’s .. and yes that picture is 10 years old. Looks nice though, doesn’t it?
I currently live in Hawaii but am planning a move to Idaho. I don’t remember a whole lot about my childhood, but it was mostly lived in Northern Illinois. Once I graduated high school I spent 6 years in the Army as a Medic. I was stationed at the Presidio of San Francisco and at KMC in Hawaii. Then I got married, got out out of the military, stayed in Hawaii, and worked as a police dispatcher for 5 years.
During this time I worked on a website that eventually started making me enough money that I could reasonably stay home and not starve. Then I got pregnant, quit the job, and went to school for a computer science degree. About three quarters of the way through it I decided it wasn’t for me and quit school. About this time my son, at 3 years of age, decided preschool just wasn’t for him - and thank goodness I listened! We are now very happy unschoolers, figuring the rest of life out.
We (my son and I) strive for nothing less than absolute joy in every moment. My son mostly realizes it. I get it more and more each day. My husband … well, he’s on his way too, if a little begrudgingly at times.
